Johnson, known by the stage name “Temptatious”, was born on the beautiful nature island of Dominica on October 17, 1988. Temptatious began showing interest in singing at the age of three. Temptatious is very versatile and is able to sing many genres such as R&B, Soca, Zouk, Reggae, and Ne-Yo Soul.
She wrote her first song at 11 years old "WHY DID YOU LIE TO ME”. Over time, she has written and sung "COME OVER HERE ", "I DONT NEED YOU FOR AS FRIEND ", "LOVING YOU", "YOUR DAUGHTER", "TRACYA", “HERB MEDITATION” and "REUNION TIME".
She started singing on a more professional level in 2003 for a very large crowd at Trafalgar Village Fete show in Dominica. The show was well attended and was a great success. Temptatious captivated everyone with her beautiful voice. This had opened the door of many opportunities for her.
In 2006, Temptatious entered a Christmas competition where she won 1st place. She sang a song called " IT'S A MERRY CHRISTMAS", which was written by her friend named Kaichi some years previously, who felt that her voice was made for his song.
One year later, Temptatious joined one of Dominica's most prestigious bands “Natral Vybz International”, as a lead vocalist, where she had been a member for three years. She was known for her beautiful voice & high-energy performances. She also released local hits with Natral Vybz such as "HAITI" featuring Elisha Benoit. This song was dedicated to the people of Haiti after the tragic earthquake. Additionally, the song "REAL MAN", which has become everyone’s favorite.
On January 15, 2011, Temptatious became even more popular after her performance in Jamaica at the Rebel Salute 2011 show after being introduced to the stage by world famous reggae artist, Queen Ifrica. This show brings together the most famous reggae artists every year and has captured the respect of roots reggae lovers worldwide. It attracts thousands of people from all over the world. She was able to network with many other famous reggae artists who also performed at the show.
Temptatious has opened up for artists such as Barrington Levy, Queen Ifrica, Christopher Martin, and Cecile. Her music is inspired by many artists to include Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Erykah Badu, Beres Hammond, Queen Ifrica, Mary J. Blige, India Arie, and Jill Scott.
Currently, Temptatious performs regularly in places throughout the Caribbean. She is also employed by Carnival Cruise Lines, where she performs music for its guests.
